There was something about the two warriors that amused and in the end there was no real winner. Both warriors had to retreat in order to live to fight another day. As for Izanagi, well he was no longer a Shinigami nor was he an Arrancar. He was a little bit of both, an Hybrid that is known as a Vaizard.
